I only realised today at 5 pm that Cold Storage was closing down and today was the last day. Actually I was at Summit to see what I could buy at the car boot sale. The minute I stepped into the Supermarket I was hooked. Didn't have time for lunch, dinner or even a drink. Didn't dare take a leak. Guarded my loaded cart like hawk. Had to fend off many who wanted the stuff I had in my cart.
Was so hungry, paid the cashier 50 sen for a fruit snack. Horrible taste but it must be nutritous. Among the things I got especially at 10 pm was stuffed olives with feta cheese RM1 (normal >RM 14)
walnuts in vinegar RM1. Now I going to have to eat those weird things. At least they must be good for health. Sigh...the things that some mothers will cart home!!! But there were really good stuff like imported olive oil for RM4 kitchen utensils from Germany going for a song. Ate my supper at 11.30 back home in Overseas Union Garden.
